9 Months ago when we first opened our doors to ya’ll I never imagined this would happen! Let me tell you, I CRIED when I got the phone call that we had won ALL these awards that were chosen from ALL of DFW. The support you have shown us, from our first few months (where mistakes were plenty, and you showed us such grace) to now with the MOUNTAIN of Thanksgiving orders you are entrusting us with. I can’t say Thank You enough for your continued support in making House of Bread such a special place for us. If this is what you have helped make our first 9 months become, I can’t wait to see what next year has in store for House of Bread! According to a release, the shop is a franchise being brought to town by husband-and-wife Dustin Marks and Mechelle Coate, empty-nesters who liked HoB’s traditional values of handmade quality products. Dustin Marks and Mechelle Coate have recently become empty nesters and have decided the timing was right for them to pursue their long term vision of owning a bread bakery. Both indicated that the initial interest had to do with desiring a healthy business. I was impressed that they really knew that whole grain bread made correctly, naturally like we do at House of Bread, meets their goals. They have purchased the rights to three units and are currently in lease negotiations. Michael currently owns a small trucking company, that requires a lot of travel away from home, and Safete is a nurse.
